That was the first thing most people said to me when they saw me for the first time after school resumed. I laughed it off the first few times, but then it started to get old, and annoying😡😠😬. Yes, I was home for 5 months and thereabouts, I added a bit of weight, it doesn't mean my IQ dropped! Oh, and some other people were more blunt than most and stated that they liked the way my hips filled out 😱😱😱.
Nice, but I like to think that I am admired for more than just my body size and shape 😆 and I think that a lot of us, both sexes inclusive, like to think so.
Society has magnified abs and long limbs and beautiful fingers and crossbows 💋 and curvy hips and big, perky boobs above common sense and politeness. Are all of these things wrong? No, nobody wants flabby arms and potbellies, but the moment that we begin to expect more from a person's physical appearance than their mental prowess, then we have begun to cause a chain of problems that are never-ending.
We should not appraise people or call them sexy because they look like the models on the cover of a magazine 😍😍😍😱. Let their inner self speak, let it be a qualifying factor to be called sexy😘. Let's not breed mannequins and cover models, let 'sexy' be more than curves and limbs, let 'sexy' be seen as mental abilities with a great body as a plus➕ and we'll find that we'll know who's real and has substance 😉😉.
Let this 'inner sexiness ' become real, not just to you, but to everyone. 😇😇

Abi, what do you think?
What says u can't have a Nicki Minaj figure and have a high IQ together???...being intelligent is no excuse to having a Barney figure and vice versa...lol
ReplyDeleteand yes, sexual attraction or sexiness is a lot more physical than it is intellectual if we're being honest with each other
DeleteThe truth is that there is an over emphasis on outward appearance that has driven a lot of youth to the extreme all in bid to impress or catch the eye. Catching some one's eye or having sexual attraction alone is not love. Most youth are driven in this direction majorly because they want some form of affirmation and appreciation from the opposite sex to help build inner confidence. Every one wants to look good but you shouldn't base your value and looks that no matter what u do will still change (abi u nor go old?) Your value should rather stem from how God sees you and the knowledge of your potentials and capacity. Thanks Peace for the article. I think its worth sharing.

A statement goes a long way.
Thumbs up girl
Beautiful piece but ultimately, not everybody is shallow.... Personally, I'm a sapiosexual and you could have an hourglass figure which will appeal to my eyes as soon as I see you but once I talk to you and there's nothing up there, major turn off for me.
ReplyDelete😂😂😂😂😁😁😁
